Covid has done a number on everyone. Social distancing is at a peak, and everyone's stuck indoors. For Musicians, this became increasingly difficult as no one could jam. Bands took breaks, and just about everyone became a solo artist.Inspired by Shakey Graves, and born out of the need to get LOUD, the first Drifter Drum was pieced together out of spare drum parts, and a trip to Goodwill. Shortly after, the second drum and later a third came around until it felt and sounded right.

The first Drifter Drum is posted online under the name of Not So Modern Drum Co. and within three days, its sold and off to it's new owner Melissa, in Canada.

45 Drums later, a name change, and constant efforts to create a better sounding drum, Drifter Drums Continue to push forward and empower musicians with a compact, sustainable, and affordable instrument.
